1E has a continuous commitment to innovation, and to keeping our customers at the leading edge of Microsoft System’s Management technologies. With the systems management market continually evolving and with new technology releases from Microsoft, we regularly assess the functionality that our tools provide our customers to ensure they deliver the highest return on investment.
1E released DeskMon in April 2005 to provide lightweight cost-effective monitoring of desktop machines using MOM 2000 and MOM 2005. With the recent release of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007, which provides robust desktop monitoring, DeskMon no longer provides a cost-effective solution for managing your workstation estate. We have therefore decided to de-commission this product from our portfolio.
Support for MOM 2000 and MOM 2005 will cease, as there are no plans to upgrade this product to System Center Operations Manager 2007. Existing customers with maintenance contracts will continue to receive support up until 31st December 2008.
1E will withdraw certain solutions from our portfolio, should we feel it is in our customers’ interests. We continue to invest heavily in other 1E solutions and new product development. It is our intention to enhance and incorporate the Client Health functionality within our 1E WakeUp software solution over the next 12 months.
