The UK health sector always faces unrelenting pressure to do more with less. For example, now that the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme has been introduced to reduce CO2 emissions in the UK, qualifying organizations will have to report on their emissions before beginning to buy carbon dioxide allowances in April 2011. The good news is that by lowering their emissions, any organization can generate extra cash – in addition to benefiting from cheaper energy bills – by trading their allowances to develop an extra income stream.
