QA Performance Analyst

Description: As a QA Performance Analyst you are an integral part of the entire SDLC with key responsibility for determining the quality and usability of our software.

You will be part of a cross functional development team working side by side with developers, QA and stakeholders following an agile development methodology.

1E employs a number of Engineering practices such as BDD, TDD and Continuous Integration, and actively seeks to refine our work approach. The team is skilled and motivated and looking for similar individuals with the desire and drive to Engineering forward.

The role will involve the implementation and maintenance of performance test solutions on multiple platforms to support software installations in large and complex environments.

You will :

  • Be involved in the design, implementation, development and maintenance of performance testing
  • Work with the project teams to ensure non functional requirements are understood and met, and actively participate in daily/iteration meetings
  • Provide input into Performance Test strategy and approach – giving up-front input for setting realistic initial performance goals for the project for development to work to
  • Implement performance and non functional test plans
  • Liaise with the development and infrastructure teams to define performance objectives and resolve performance issues
  • Produce recommendations on system configuration & optimisation, and hardware requirements
  • Research potential tools (Proprietary & Open Source) to facilitate performance testing and make recommendations as to suitability for use in differing projects
  • Grow and develop the performance testing capability of the QA team

  • Act as a mentor to more junior members of the team. You will lead reviews of test artefacts and results produced by team members. You will be responsible for reporting test activities/progress to the wider business
  • You may be required to allocate and monitor test activities for other team members in addition to your day to day role
