Do-Or-Do-Not -There-Is-No-Try

Hi, My Name is Saurabh and I am part of the Engineering department at 1E.

1E has a culture where you work hard, things are fast moving, but at the same time they really do value work-life balance.

At 1E, the focus is always about doing the best thing possible. When we start doing something, we don’t begin with what everyone else is doing, we look at what’s the best possibility full stop. In fact one of the four 1E Values are ‘No Compromise On Delivery‘. There is no such thing as ‘good enough’, it has to be the best at 1E. The support to achieve that is second-to-none, and we have regular Innovation Days where we are given opportunity to think and develop our ideas.

One of the unique things about 1E is that the level of cross-collaboration between different groups is very high. I get to work with a whole lot of really great people who’re curious problem solvers, up for any kind of challenge, and have a reverence for expertise. Another two of the 1E Values are ‘Intellectual Curiosity‘ and ‘Subject Matter Expertise‘, and I can say with some certainty that I have definitely grown technically and personally since I started at 1E, and I see myself much more developed as an IT professional.

I think people who have been in a job that they don’t like, it’s difficult to go back to the office every day, and you need an extra reason to get out of bed and go to work. You spend so much time at work that it’s important that you have a place where you feel comfortable, you feel at home, but you also feel challenged and stimulated, and that you are being recognized for your achievements, whilst being surrounded by colleagues that it is a pleasure spending time with. Those are all attributes of how 1E makes me feel.

If your job is just a 9-5 and just another pay cheque, then you’re not at 1E.
