What CIOs need to know about Tachyon: a lesson from Signify

Signify (formerly Phillips Lighting) underwent major change: rebranding the entire organization. That’s no small accomplishment! The intricacies of changing a large corporation’s name come with technical challenges which are most often overlooked. Take changing the entire company’s emails, for example. It’s a task which needs to be completed, but where do you even tell your IT team to start?

When Signify came to 1E, they knew that there was a long road ahead with the changes they wished to implement. Not only did they need to complete the rebranding, but they needed to improve the overall security posture of their organization, from the inside out.

From a security perspective, they had experienced some virus attacks, but they weren’t sure which endpoints had been patched and were protected from future attacks. They were also dealing with residual effects from the Intel Chip vulnerability from the previous year. Signify needed to update endpoints at scale with remediate steps that would also prevent any future problems. There was only one tool that could offer the flexibility to accomplish all of this: Tachyon.

Beyond the items that required immediate action, Signify also required true visibility of their IT estate. This meant deploying the Tachyon agent to every endpoint an essential step in their journey. Signify CIO Kurt De Ruwe said, “Without Tachyon, there would be company-wide rebellion!” He feels strongly about the benefits of ensuring end-user productivity and Tachyon’s ability to orchestrate IT remediation across the entire organization, at speed.

As you can see from this video series, Tachyon has changed the way Signify does business. They are more productive, better able to cope with a wider range of IT demands, and have improved their ability to react to incidents and reduce security threats.
