Tachyon is an extensible platform for complete endpoint management. As well as benefitting from over 600 pre-built instructions, customers and partners can build their own instructions, or customize existing instructions to perfectly match their specific requirements.
The Tachyon Agent is cross platform, supporting Microsoft Windows PCs and Servers, Apple Mac OS X devices, several Linux and Unix distributions and Android devices. It has even been extended to support Raspberry Pi IoT devices and Windows Embedded systems.
Tachyon Agent Instructions are written in a Simple, Cross-platform Agent Language for Extensibility or SCALE for short. SCALE is very powerful and very easy to learn. SQL queries form the basis for most SCALE instructions, with the agent providing an OS abstraction layer to allow instruction authors to gather data from Windows, Mac, Linux (etc.) endpoints within a single instruction.
Listed below are some of the current SCALE methods that can be leveraged and the benefits of each in turn. Tachyon can perform all these functions against any or all online endpoints, including remote workers and high latency poor connections ,as well as for corporate LAN and WAN infrastructure.
Agentless Network Discovery
Find all connected devices on all corporate networks using TCP port and ICMP ping scanning.
Leverage NetBIOS, ARP, DNS lookups and historic TCP connections to understand the relative importance of devices.
Identify known and unknown devices, managed and unmanaged devices and push the Tachyon agent to unmanaged endpoints.
