The 1E solution builds on the solid foundations of Configuration Manager. IT administrators use familiar tools and workflows, SCCM role based authentication is honored, and no new technology stacks (e.g. Java) are required.
Users can request and schedule the migration of their device through an enterprise app store.
Administrators can define who the new OS should be available to and when.
Users can then select the timeslot that suits them best – get reminders, and reschedule if needed.
Backup without servers
User data and settings are backed up to a local peer workstation, removing the need for remote servers and avoiding heavy WAN traffic.
Multiple copies can be made so there is no dependency on a single workstation being available when the data is restored. User data is restored using standard Task Sequence USMT steps.
