SAM Socials

SAM Socials are gatherings of SAM professionals where the focus is on knowledge sharing and networking. These are “Unconference” like 2 hour (or so) meetups of and for SAM professionals and experts. 10-15 minutes will be dedicated to a noted guest on a specific topic, the remainder of the session is given over to discuss topics suggested by attendees.

These are very useful events which will help you:

  • Learn from fellow professionals and industry expert guests, succeed in your role
  • Enjoy some informal time expanding your network of SAM professionals, locally and in person
  • Help other SAM professionals via knowledge sharing

SAM Socials are held in cities around the world. Attendees are invited to join a closed online community where learnings and tips from all events can be shared. As well as knowledge sharing, learning from and helping peers, SAM and IT Procurement professionals who attend these laid back events gain access to a service which enables them to fact check license metric details anonymously (via a proxy) with major vendors.

These are end-user and SAM expert only events. Sales people (even from 1E), software resellers, vendors, consultants, auditing firms and the like are not invited and will not receive information on the exact venue even if they do register…
