A team of courageous 1E employees will be kayaking, abseiling, mountain biking and code cracking to complete this year’s Microsoft UK Challenge, in aid of the NSPCC. The event, which takes place in Stirling, Scotland from 11 - 14 June, will put over 100 teams from top UK companies, public sector and charity organisations through a series of tough challenges designed to test physical and mental endurance and develop core team skills that can be transferred into a business environment. 1E are proud to be taking part in raising over £3000 for the NSPCC, sponsored by valued suppliers, colleagues, friends and family.

| BAAF have been working for over 25 years to find loving, permanent families for children in care and ensure that these children receive the best possible support. There are many children, particularly boys over 7 years of age, groups of brothers and sisters, minority ethnic children and children with special or complex needs, for whom it is very difficult, at times impossible, to find a family. An estimated 40% of children who need to be adopted are never found a permanent family. Support from 1e means that BAAF can find new families for 300 children this year through its Be My Parent newspaper. |

Manav Mandir Ashram Orphanage

The Manav Mandir Ashram Orphanage in India provides a home for
children from families who could no longer look after them. Although the
children received great care, the orphanage could not afford to eduate them,
limiting their future prospects.
1E provides educational funds and equipment for the children. In addition to
the basic curriculum, they can also be trained in academic or vocational fields
to increase their employment opportunities. The children are also encouraged to
participate in extracurricular activities, such as yoga, music and playing
cricket.
