NightWatchman utilizes the power management capabilities of your computer and combines this with an effective scheduling system in a single, easy-to-use package. Using NightWatchman you can define company-wide power saving policies, scheduled shutdowns and automatic document saving.

NightWatchman supports the following features:

•	Shuts down or logs off PCs across an enterprise: When executed, NightWatchman checks to see if a user is logged on, saves any unsaved documents, logs off the user, and turns off the PC if desired. Administrators can:
	- Schedule a daily, immediate or one-off shutdown - Detect power setting capability per machine - Put PCs into a hibernate or standby state - Define the actions presented to a user - Create or modify shutdown scripts - Set the actions that will shut down the machine If a user is still working, administrators can provide the option to postpone the shutdown and try again later. NightWatchman can also power off machines where the user has logged off or locked the machine.
•	Protects unsaved user documents prior to shutdown: NightWatchman safely shuts down all types of documents with provided scripts for off-the-shelf software, such as Microsoft Office, or allows the creation of custom scripts for bespoke applications. Upon the next user login, all saved files are presented in a simple interface, where users can keep or reject items as they wish.
•	Produces reports to calculate current and potential savings: NightWatchman installs on each PC as a lightweight desktop client. Data is collected from the machine and sent to the Agility Framework reporting server, where it creates reports and charts, which include the following:
	- Power consumption - Energy costs - C02 emissions - Power savings estimates - And much more
•	Reports viewable over any web console: By accessing the Agility Framework website, the NightWatchman company-wide power consumption data reports can be easily viewed from any web browser.
•	Controls PC power scheme settings: NightWatchman provides control over the monitor, hard disk, standby and hibernate power settings. This enables a company wide energy consumption policy to be easily set-up and maintained.
•	Schedules daily, immediate or one-off shutdowns: NightWatchman enables the scheduling of shutdowns on a weekly/day of operation basis. It also enables a PC to be shut down, put into standby mode or hibernated immediately.
•	Centrally controllable using any systems management tool: NightWatchman is fully configurable via the command-line. This enables company-wide policies to be easily configured in a scalable manner using existing management infrastructure.
•	Easily installable lightweight desktop client: NightWatchman has an extremely small footprint, enabling the shutdown technology and PC power data to be gathered with minimal impact on the client PC.
•	Energy state reporting: The reporting mechanism has been made more efficient and requires less network bandwidth to provide power state reporting across a network.
•	Defer shutdown when there are pending SMS jobs: NightWatchman can now check for pending Systems Management Server (SMS) jobs prior to shutdown. This enables shutdowns to be scheduled appropriately with minimal disruption to SMS maintenance jobs.
•	NightWatchman performance reports: NightWatchman now includes two reports that show how many PCs were successfully shut down and how many PCs had their shut downs interrupted.
•	NightWatchman shuts down PCs awoken by SMSWakeUp: NightWatchman complements SMSWakeUpT to shutdown PCs that have been awoken by SMSWakeUp for patching. This maximizes the PC energy cost savings whilst still allowing critical software updates to take place.
