Let’s start with the what. What is the current state of market? Well, the digital workplace has changed dramatically over the last 18 months as the pandemic has completely shifted businesses. As Mark points out, ‘digital transformation was already important, but the pandemic has reduced what may have taken 5 years into 5 months”. Organizations must now ‘do or die’ when it comes to innovation, as many of the technical systems and processes that were once in place for IT are no longer fit for purpose.

What does this mean? This means that digital employee experience (DEX) will continue to grow in importance, quickly becoming top of the agenda for the c-suite across any business. This leads us on to the why. Why did the state of the market and the future of DEX bring Mark to 1E? Well, the answer is simple. Mark believes that you cannot provide the necessary Michelin star experience to your customers if you don’t provide the same to your employees. How does this relate to 1E? Well, he feels that 1E’s technology is well placed to enable organizations across any sector, be it banking, retail or utilities, to support their journey to automation and in improving the digital employee experience.
