MVP Monday: What happens at Ignite…doesn’t stay at Ignite

MVP Monday: What happens at Ignite…doesn’t stay at Ignite

Major conferences like Microsoft Ignite are highlights of the attendee’s year. As a vendor, 1E has it’s own added level of excitement showing off our new products, meeting customers (and potential customers!) face-to-face, and networking with valued members of our community.
The number of people attending though is slightly overwhelming. With over 25,000 visitors buzzing about the conference floor, it’s impossible not to feel the spark from the sheer magnitude of human contact.

But then there’s also the genius conversations rising from the throng. MVPs and other industry experts see through the crowd like a complicated theorem (à la The Matrix) and it all just seems to make sense to them. The conference floor is enormous and the Keynote alone was broken up into various rooms so that everyone could watch live.
Lines formed for specific sessions and the mass amounts of people stopping by the 1E booth only seemed to continue to grow (which was a very good thing!). Our team was dedicated to talking with the 1,500+ people who stopped by—we had demos, swag, and even a scavenger hunt that lasted the entirety of the conference.

When asked about his favorite aspect of the conference, Strategic Account Director at 1E Jason Swenson said, “With the booth conversations, I thoroughly enjoyed discussing different challenges that prospects are facing that our solutions can help them overcome. Some of these challenges I hadn’t come across before. Additionally, from working in the booth having an opportunity to speak with a number of SCCM/EUC folks who weren’t familiar with 1E, this shows that there is a huge opportunity out there.  Lastly, I found a great deal of value spending time with the 1E brain trust internally, hearing different perspectives and thought processes discussed.”

We were even lucky enough to meet face-to-face with some of our past MVP Monday contributors such as Mick Pletcher, Nickolaj Andersen, Maurice Daly, Emile Cabot, and Eric Berg. Mr. Pletcher was kind to offer his time to speak with us one on one and you can check out his full interview below:

Amidst all the tech talks, we did manage to have quite a bit of fun. The 1E party this year was beyond thrilling. Set in an actual airplane hangar, we hosted over 250 people with games, food, drinks, and plenty of areas to “chillax”.

To cap off all the Ignite and MVP excitement, this week we have TWO MVP events starting today with the MVP Twitter Party featuring Ignite attendees Kent Agerlund, Mirko Colemberg, Ronni Pedersen, and Shaun Cassells.
