1E achieves two star accreditation and debuts in the Sunday Times 100 best small companies to work for listing

UK firm ranks third for ‘positivity’ and fifth for ‘making a positive difference to the world’

London & New York, March 12, 2013 1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, today announced that it has achieved a two star accreditation from the Best Companies Guide, due to an outstanding level of employee engagement, based on staff feedback.  It also achieved a coveted position in The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For, where it finished third place for positivity, with 91 percent of employees singling this out as one of the company’s key attributes.  1E also ranked fifth for making a positive difference to the world, with 86 percent.

Senior managers are keen to listen to team ideas at 1E, and have an open forum to encourage input and feedback from employees.  An impressive 93 percent of staff felt that they could make a valuable contribution to the success of the organisation, and employees also stated they did not get bored by their jobs (78 percent).  Overall, 1E ranked 97 of all small companies in the UK.

Eighty nine percent of employees believe the company has a strong social conscience and 72 percent agree that it encourages support for the community.   Charity work is also part of the company’s culture at 1E with 98 percent of employees stating they are encouraged to participate in charitable activities.  Indeed, staff are allowed to take five days of company time for voluntary projects, while the UK team has held fundraising events to support the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF).  The New York team has also donated toys and treats to children affected by Hurricane Sandy.
