London, UK, April 09, 2014 – 1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, has appointed Will Edmondson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The strategic hire underlines 1E’s commitment to building a management team that will deliver sustainable and profitable growth and follows the appointment of a new VP for Global HR and Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer.

Based in the UK headquarters, Edmondson joins the 1E board to take overall responsibility for 1E’s global finance, legal and HR functions and is tasked with delivering an expansion strategy that will accelerate growth, while ensuring profitability and long-term success.

Sumir Karayi, CEO of 1E, commented: “1E has ambitious plans for the next five years and Will has a critical role to play as we move into this new phase of expansion and development. His proven ability to create market value and deliver controlled, profitable growth will be a tremendous asset to the management team, enabling us to build on our success and create a clear leadership position in the market.”

Edmondson brings over 20 years’ experience in financial roles to 1E, primarily within the software sector. These include EMEA finance director for software company Autodesk and CFO at AIM listed Idox plc, where he was instrumental in doubling revenue and quadrupling the market capitalization.

“I immediately saw the growth opportunity for 1E as the company has a powerful business proposition that speaks directly to any CFO: a proven ability to drive down IT costs,” said Will Edmondson. “The rising cost of IT and software is a challenge for every business and one that every CFO struggles to overcome, as I know from my own experience. I am excited to have the opportunity to work within such a committed and driven team and ensure the company is on the right path for long-term, profitable growth.”
