Leading global airline catering provider set to make 5,800 computers more energy efficient
London & Neu-Isenburg – 18 April 2012, 1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, today announced that it has been selected for an IT Efficiency project by leading global airline catering and in-flight services provider LSG Sky Chefs. LSG Sky Chefs, which is headquartered in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, selected 1E to increase the energy efficiency of its global estate of PCs and keep them patched and healthy.
LSG Sky Chefs operates some 200 customer service centers in 52 countries. In 2011, the company produced about 492 million airline meals for more than 300 airlines worldwide.

In other words, we’re saving almost 400,000 kWh of electricity, which is the same amount used by 35 homes in one year or roughly 300 metric tons of CO2 – the same amount emitted by 59 passenger cars during the course of one year[i].
