London and New York, October 10, 2013: 1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, today announced the Appointment of Jeff Wyrich, former technical director at JP Morgan, to its Professional Services Team.
Jeff Wyrich worked with JP Morgan (JPMC) for 17 years, where he held various positions including desktop engineer, desktop product manager, desktop engineering manager and director of desktop configuration management and lastly as a technical director. At JPMC he and his team contributed to establishing JPMC’s desktop environment (250k+ desktops) as a benchmark in the industry for being extremely well-managed and exceeding business requirements.
Wyrich has direct experience of working with Nomad, NightWatchman Enterprise and WakeUp. He saw how Nomad reliably provides global application deployments as well as significantly reducing the required infrastructure by 80% and ran the entire organization on 140 DPs with a BAU team. With NightWatchman, by offering users self-subscription capabilities with flexible models, not only did the CO2 footprint reduce, but the patch success ratios improved (due to NightWatchman’s increased rebooting of desktops), equally (for the same reason) he saw a 22% reduction in helpdesk calls.
“We are delighted to have Jeff Wyrich join the Professional Services team,” says Ambareesh Kulkarni, VP Professional Services. “He has an outstanding reputation in the industry and his wealth of experience in managing a large and complex IT environment will be of enormous value to our customers. Jeff will join a team of Systems Management experts and lead efforts to build new Professional Services offerings focused on delivering efficiencies and hard savings for our customers.”
Jeff Wyrich adds, “As an early adopter of 1E technologies in a very large environment, I appreciate this opportunity to work on the other side of the fence to ensure successful deployments for 1E customers. It’s an exciting time to be joining the company during a growth spurt and I’m looking forward to building on this momentum.”
