Best-known for its market-leading NightWatchman Enterprise PC Power Management software, 1E snaps up top accolade at the Green IT awards
London & New York, 20 April 2012 – 1E, a global leader in IT efficiency software, was last night named Green IT Company of the Year 2012, as voted by the readers of Green IT magazine. Green IT 2010 Minister of Energy winner, NightWatchman Enterprise was also the Product of the Year runner up this year. The commendations were awarded to 1E at the third Green IT Awards ceremony, under the watchful gaze of the animals at London Zoo.
Speaking about the award win Sumir Karayi, CEO, 1E, says: "We are dedicated to helping our customers make a positive impact on the world around them. We believe in making IT simple, efficient and deliver real savings. To date, our solutions have enabled our 1,600 customers to save $800 million in energy costs alone, preventing 6.4 million tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere; that’s the equivalent emissions from one and a half coal-fired power stations in one year.”
