1E publishes SP1 update to its top tips on System Center 2012 Configuration Manager

1E updates important resource on System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, providing insight into Service Pack 1 features.

London and New York, April 5, 2013: 1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, today announces a second edition of its popular white paper ‘10 Things You Need to Know for Microsoft® System Center 2012 Success’ to take into account the changes that SP1 has brought. Since its release last April and its update earlier this year, Microsoft® System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr 2012) is now being adopted by many of the organizations that 1E works with. An upgrade project is the ideal opportunity to flatten the organizational server infrastructure and cut on-going running costs.

Edited by Paul Thomsen MVP, a solutions engineer with 1E, who has worked on many upgrade projects of all sizes, with contributions from many of 1E’s experienced consultants, the white paper is a must read for any company in the throes of implementing System Center 2012 SP1. It provides useful insight for companies considering System Center 2012 and gives organizations an independent view so that they can evaluate how to keep their Configuration Manager hierarchy as simple as possible; consider the Intune integration option so that they can manage consumer-oriented devices in addition to Windows computers (as well as Macintosh and Linux) and how PowerShell support brings a new level of customization and control to your administration.

‘We make this white paper freely available to help our audience get a deeper understanding of System Center and the new features it incorporates in this release,” comments Amy Collins, VP of Product Management at 1E. “Our consultants are among the world’s leading domain experts on IT cost reduction solutions and have successfully delivered complex enterprise-scale IT efficiency transformation projects to some of the world’s most prestigious organizations. The consultancy team has deep domain expertise in Microsoft Systems Center technologies with specific practices around Windows XP Migrations, Hardware and Software rationalization, IT Energy reduction, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 upgrades, and 1E ActiveEfficiency solution deployments.”
