Tachyon Review by David Strom

David Strom is one of the leading experts on network and Internet technologies. He has written and spoken extensively on topics such as cloud computing, network security, Internet applications, wireless and Web services for more than 35 years.

In 2018, he wrote a special report on Tachyon, published on his leading blog (strom.com). In this report he tested and assessed the power of 1E’s ground-breaking tool, considering its strengths and weaknesses in relation to the wider Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) market.

The report is based on actual hands-on experience with Tachyon, as well as conversations with its users. The results, which you can read here, are a superb, objective introduction both for Tachyon newcomers and anyone considering their EDR options

“One of the benefits with Tachyon is the speed at which it produces results,” explains Strom. “Oftentimes, my queries were answered with literally a blink of the eye, even on large test networks with thousands of endpoints. While I couldn’t test across large production networks, I have spoken to customers who run these installations who report it is blazing fast.”
