Last week, we focused on understanding product resource utilization with Tachyon. Afterall, with more users than ever before working remotely, it's important for IT to have access to device data that provides key insights to enable improvement of those end-user devices and a reduction in overhead. The blog explored how we can utilize Tachyon to understand the impact of updates on the consumption of CPU, Memory, and IO.
In this follow-up vlog, Jason digs a little deeper – after all, Tacyhon Tuesday is all about getting into the tech! – and talks us through a utilization instruction that he’s written. Using ‘Teams’ as an example, Jason uses his instruction to gather data from a vast number of devices to better understand how the Teams application is taking resources.

He goes further, not only exploring the what and why of the instruction but also the how – providing valuable insight into how this utilization instruction was made in TIMS (Tachyon Instruction Management Studio) and how to use this to uncover rich software performance data insights.
