Building a community of highly skilled experts and evangelists in running IT efficiently, 1E sees its inaugural workshop, 1E Academy Live, launch on the eve of MMS in Las Vegas on Sunday April 7.

London and New York, April 4, 2013: 1E, the global leader in IT efficiency software, today announces the launch of the 1E Academy with the inaugural 1E Academy Live training and certification course for delegates attending the Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) in Las Vegas. This Level 400 workshop focused on Windows Migrations will take place on the afternoon of Sunday April 7, the day before MMS opens and has nearly 150 technical professionals who are interested in becoming IT efficiency experts signed up to attend.

“With top analysts such as Forrester Research Inc. predicting that: ‘With an increasingly competitive ecosystem, IT must improve if it is to remain relevant,’[i] Efficient IT is an increasingly critical issue.  We envisage that expertise in IT efficiency will become an increasingly valuable skill.  1E Academy is an ongoing program and will become the center of excellence to enable individuals to enhance their skills through ActiveEfficiency certification which will in turn help them develop their careers around a shared IT efficiency vision,” says Sumir Karayi, CEO at 1E.

With extended support for Windows XP ending in a year’s time, many companies are racing to complete their Operating Systems (OS) upgrades as soon as possible and 1E wants to help as many companies as possible to beat the deadline. Run by 1E experienced consultants – who are also System Center experts – Shaun Cassells, Troy Martin and Mike Terrill, and, who between them have worked on hundreds of Windows Migration projects, this course will cover managing OS deployments without Distribution Points, State Migration Points and PXE Service points; creating a user-centric migration experience; and dynamic application migration using System Center and 1E tools.

On completion of the training and certification, delegates will be among the first ActiveEfficiency experts in Advanced Windows Deployment. “For the first time ever, we will be sharing our trade secrets and knowledge in how to complete successful Windows deployments with the minimum of disruption to the business and in the fastest time possible,” comments Karayi.

1E Academy will launch at MMS with this live training and certification and is broadening going forwards, will add online courses, roadshows and bootcamps where delegates can further develop their skills in running IT efficiently.
